Where can I get tickets to Roots & Vines?

Tickets are on sale via Capitol Theatre.  You can purchase online or at the box office.

How much do tickets cost?

$15 in advance or $20 on the day of the event

*The event is 21 and over only, but there is a family viewing area located to the left of the main stage at North Town Coffee accessible via Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way.

Will I need cash at the event?

Yes. You will need cash for scrip and food.  There are ATMs within a block of the event but no onsite ATMs available.  Scrip is $2/ticket, 2 tickets for half pour of beer, 3 tickets for a full pour of beer (16oz), and 4 tickets for wine (6oz) and spirits

VENUE

The festival is located on the streets of historic Front Street in downtown Yakima. The event features 2 stages with 6 hours of consecutive music.

Entry into the event is located at the corner of Yakima AVE and Front Street.

SEATING

Is there seating at the event, and does my ticket reserve a seat?

Limited seating available. Tickets do not reserve seating, it is first come first serve.

Can I bring my own seating?

Yes. Lawn chairs and other collapsible chairs are acceptable to bring with you to the event but please do not block aisles

*Free family seating available outside of the event at North Town Coffee, first come first serve – accessible via S.S. Pendleton Way.

WEATHER

Event is rain or shine. The weather can be warm this time of year and sunscreen and protective wear is recommended.

VOLUNTEERS

Yes, we need volunteers for the event. All volunteers will receive free admission.  Contact yakimadowntown@gmail.com for more information and to sign up for a shift.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

What time does the event start?

The gates open at 3:30PM

What time does the event end?

The event ends at 10:00 PM, last call for drinks is at 9:30 PM

Can I leave and come back?

Yes.

PARKING

Where can I park?

There are available parking spots along S. Front Street, N. First Street, and East Chestnut Avenue. There is also a free all day parking lot on the west side of N. 1st Street and Staff Sgt Pendelton Way, and a 4 hour parking lot directly across the street on the east side of N. 1st Street and Staff Sgt. Pendelton Way, as well as open parking at the County Courthouse parking lot across from the 4 hour lot.  Downloadable parking map.

Is there a place to store my bike?

There are many places available on Yakima Ave where you can lock your bike to available stands.

How can I get there by public transportation?

The following is a list of items that are prohibited at the festival. All persons entering the facilities and their bags may be subject to search for the following, all of which are expressly forbidden on the Event premises and subject to confiscation:

  • Bicycles
  • Weapons
  • Projectiles
  • Outside alcohol
  • Animals, except service animals
  • Glass bottles
  • Cans
  • Wagons or cars
  • Laser pointers
  • Air horns or other noisemakers
  • Skateboards
  • No outside food
  • People under 21 years of age

*water, or reusable water bottles are allowed
